Facial Liposuction

If you are bothered by excess fat in your cheeks, jawline, chin and/or neck, you may be interested in facial liposuction. This specialized form of liposuction helps remove excess fat and produce a more pleasing contour in areas of the face that typically can’t be helped by exercise.

Facial liposuction is especially effective in addressing puffy cheeks, jowls, and neck fat that is often referred to as double chin, turkey neck or “wattle.” The results can be subtle but very effective, helping you look younger and slimmer.

Facial liposuction is similar to other types of liposuction, except Dr. Quardt uses a micro-cannula rather than a full-sized cannula, and removes only small amounts of fat. The facial liposuction procedure itself takes about 45-60 minutes under local anesthesia and light sedation.

Some patients may be helped by additional procedures at the same time as facial liposuction to improve the appearance of lines, wrinkles, puffy eyes, thinned cheeks, insufficient lips, and sagging or hanging skin on the face. Procedures commonly performed alongside facial liposuction include facelift, brow lift, eyelid surgery, facial fillers, neck lift and Botox®/Dysport®.
