Radiesse Dermal Filler Approved for Hand Wrinkle Treatment

Radiesse Dermal Filler Approved for Hand Wrinkle TreatmentRadiesse is a marvelous, stellar, and state of the art dermal filler injectable treatment, which has now received an additional approval from the FDA for hand augmentation. This time-tested non-surgical procedure can treat loss of volume in the dorsum of the hands, and rejuvenate their appearance through reduction of folds and wrinkles.

For a long time, Radiesse has been a popular, FDA approved treatment for the reduction of facial wrinkles. Millions of patients keen to achieve a younger looking skin without surgery have benefitted from this treatment. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Suzanne Quardt provides this treatment to patients in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, and surrounding communities.

Effective Treatment for Hands

Calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), which is the key ingredient in Radiesse, is a unique agent which can plump up the skin and produce a volumizing effect. Loose skin of the hands can become fuller and tighter with a more youthful appearance. Results of Radiesse treatment on the hands, which received from a trained professional at a med spa, can last for up a year or more, and repeat treatments may be sought to extend the results.

The standout capabilities of Radiesse for hand rejuvenation was proved through a randomized and controlled clinical trial involving blinded evaluations. Following the test, the evaluators said that Radiesse caused improvement in the appearance of both hands in about 75% of the treated patients at three months.

In the same test, about 98% of the treated patients reported significant improvement in the appearance of their hands at three months. The Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS) was used to measure the results after initial and repeat treatments. The results were correlated with actual clinical improvements, and all primary and secondary endpoints were achieved.

Proven Safety

The vast majority of adverse events that were reported during the testing of Radiesse for hand wrinkle treatment related to reactions on the injection site. The reactions included swelling, redness, pain, and bruising, ranging from mild to moderate, and lasting for brief period. Treatment was not found to be necessary to address these temporary symptoms.

No acute device related adverse events were reported during the tests. In any case, it is recommended that Radiesse and other similar advanced minimally invasive and non-invasive procedures should be provided only by certified experts. Dr. Q medical spa receives patients from Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, and nearby areas for this procedure.

Biocompatible Treatment

Radiesse gel is made up of tiny microspheres that are suspended in the viscous gel solution. The main ingredient of this filler is CaHA, which is a naturally occurring substance in the human body. Therefore, it is a highly biocompatible treatment, requiring no prior allergy tests. It can be used easily for sensitive areas such as the face and hands.

How does it Work?

Radiesse microspheres will stimulate the production of natural collagen in the deeper skin layers. This supports the development of fresh tissue for sustainable impact. Radiesse injections can be administered using a local anesthetic, and the procedure will take about 30 minutes or less for both hands.
